What people are saying about us:
“Korkage is by far the best wine tasting atmosphere in Portland”
Sue R, Korkage Customer
“What a pleasant surprise! So many wine stores seem the same--same wines, same tastings, same people behind the counter that aren't that interested in conversation. The shelves at Korkage are brimming with wines you're unlikely to see at even the most upscale of Portland grocery stores. Small, hard-to-find producers are featured here, many of which have very limited distribution channels…”

“Great offerings from the NW and around the world. Great food pairing options to boot! They tend to carry high quality, yet reasonably priced wines. Good place to stop in and enjoy their nightly tastings (and listen to live music on Thursdays….I use it as my neighborhood bottle shop and place to discover new gems I might have overlooked elsewhere.”

“Korkage is a great place to end the work day”

My husband and I went here for date night and really enjoyed our experience. The owner was great, he was informative but not overly talky about wine….”

About the owners
Executive Chef Earl Johnson, has 20+ years of cooking, restaurant operations and teaching experience. Chef Earl is likely to be the one at the bar serving fine wine or a flight of gourmet pairings he’s created, or evaluating potential picks for our inventory. And, if you’ve been in a few times, don’t be surprised if he remembers what you like.
Co-owner and native Oregonian, Tamairah Boleyn recently left her day-job, 20+ year marketing career to make this dream a reality. Having a family inspired her to achieve more flexibility than the corporate world allowed, and she recruited her brother-in-law chef to join her. Tapping into her early roots of working in restaurants (she started when she was 11), it was an easy transition. Her mission is to grow and market the business along with booking the live music.
The pair were recently invited to Volunteer chair Hillsdale’s major community fundraiser, a 2013 Wine Pairing Festival with 25 wineries participating and 800 attendees, lending their event, and food and pairing expertise.
